Beyond Altona Painting, I'm a deeply family-oriented musician who loves the great outdoors. I go camping multiple times a year, I'm the youngest of four siblings, and I've been playing drums since I was 10 years old. You can catch me shredding on my YouTube channel here.
Music runs through everything I do. I'm a regular concert-goer: I've seen Heart, Rush, Metallica three times, Billy Talent twice, Sum 41 three times, The Beaches twice, and the list keeps growing.
Travel is another passion. I've made it to Machu Picchu not once but twice — and my passport also covers the U.S., Bolivia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, with more adventures still to come. And on more than one occasion, a happy client has asked me to sit down at their drum kit after we wrapped up a project. Their drums, not mine — could you imagine? Ha!

The Cameron Namek Athletic Excellence Award
Altona Painting is proud to sponsor the Cameron Namek Athletic Excellence Award at St. Mary Catholic Secondary School in Pickering — presented annually to a graduating student who demonstrates both academic and athletic excellence.
The award was created in partnership with Pascal and Karen Namek to honour the memory and legacy of their son Cameron. Cameron had a magnetic energy that lit up every room he entered. He was incredibly intelligent, revered by his peers and teachers, and was a member of the Canadian gymnastics team training for the Olympics when his life was tragically cut short. He is deeply missed.
This award is one small way to keep Cameron's spirit alive — by recognizing the kind of dedication, character, and excellence he embodied.

Every member of the Altona Painting team holds these values on every worksite, with every client — residential or commercial, large project or small.
Responsible Paint & Chemical Disposal
Leftover paint, primers, solvents, and chemical products are disposed of through approved paint-store disposal programs — not poured down drains or left in landfill. We follow manufacturer and municipal guidelines for every product category we use.
Surplus Product Reuse Program
When product is ordered in excess on a project, we carry over and use surplus materials on future compatible projects wherever possible. This reduces waste, cuts down on disposal needs, and passes real savings on to clients.
Low-VOC & Environmentally Preferred Products
Where the project allows, we recommend and prioritize low-VOC paints and finishes. Healthier for building occupants, better for the environment — without compromising on finish quality or durability.
Clean, Protected Worksites
We protect all surfaces, fixtures, and surrounding areas during every project and remove all debris and materials when work is complete. We leave every site as clean as — or cleaner than — we found it.
A Safe Worksite Is Non-Negotiable
For residential and commercial clients alike, safety compliance isn't optional — it's the foundation of every project we deliver. Altona Painting operates in full alignment with Ontario's workplace safety legislation and industry standards.
WSIB Registered & Compliant
Altona Painting is registered with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. All workers on your site are covered, protecting you as a property owner or project manager from liability.
WHMIS Trained
Our team is trained to the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System standard. We handle, store, and dispose of all hazardous products — paints, primers, and solvents — safely and per current regulations.
Working at Heights Certified
All team members working at elevated positions are trained under Ontario's Working at Heights program. We use appropriate equipment and follow all fall-protection protocols as required by the Ministry of Labour.
OHSA-Compliant Operations
Our worksites are managed in full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario — clear hazard communication, proper protective equipment, and rigorous site organization on every project.
First Aid Trained
Our team holds current first aid and emergency response training. First aid kits are maintained on-site and accessible at all times during active work, meeting Ontario Regulation 1101 requirements.
Full PPE Protocols
From respiratory protection to eye and skin safety, our team is equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment for every phase of work — prep, priming, application, and cleanup.
For procurement teams and commercial decision-makers: Altona Painting can provide documentation of compliance certifications upon request, including WSIB clearance certificates and safety training records. We are prepared to meet the insurance, compliance, and documentation requirements for commercial bids, property management contracts, and institutional projects.
